Thursday’s Thoughts, Questions, and Comments About Writing

Today, I’d like to ask you to participate in a brief survey in regard to writer’s groups.

Please put your answers to the following questions in the comments section below.

  1. Are you part of a writer’s group or critique group?
  2. Does your group meet in person or strictly online?
  3. If you’re not part of a writer’s group, would you like to be?
  4. How do you benefit from participating in a writer’s group?

Next week, I will post results of this survey, as well as my own opinions and experiences with writer’s groups.

  1. Hi Kelly! I am not currently part of a writer’s/critique group, although it would probably benefit me if I could commit to participating. I have weeks that allow that, and weeks that do not – which is why I have not been involved in one. I do not always have a lot of confidence about my skills, and I tend to be more “wordy” than the current guidelines suggest is appropriate, but some days I think it would be helpful to see if my writing is interesting to others.

    • Hi Mary,
Thank you so much for visiting and becoming a follower of my blog. Also, thank you for leaving a comment. I completely understand about having time some weeks and not having time other weeks. It has taken a long time for me to be able to find a way to make time for my own writing, and even now sometimes, it is a struggle. Maybe I’ll have to do a post on how to find time to write one of these Thursdays.
Be sure to stop by next Thursday to read the results of this survey and my own experiences with different writing groups.

    • Hi Kayla,

Thank you for responding here, Kayla. Also, thanks for following. I hope you’ll find my blog helpful. I will be posting the response to this post’s survey next week, so be sure to check back next Thursday for information in regard to your response to the survey.
